Take a glimpse inside this grand, unique Islamic architectural structure. Then, continue to the Royal Opera House, the jewel of the Gulf, for an exterior visit. This structure reflects an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary Arab-Islamic design. (An interior visit of the opera house is possible). Proceed to the picturesque Muttrah Corniche, known for its long history of trade and fishing, and visit the Muttrah Souk, full of charm and authentic flavors. After lunch at a local restaurant, Drive through Old Muscat and discover the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which houses one of the country's largest permanent heritage and art collections and offers a true window into Oman’s rich heritage and culture. End your day with a visit to Al Alam Palace, the Sultan's Palace. Overlooking the waterfront, the Palace is flanked by two forts dating back to the Portuguese era in the 16th century. The Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts are representative of the country's military architecture. Perched on rocks, these forts dominate the sparkling blue waters of the Gulf of Oman. (Photo stop). Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Muscat.

Depart in the morning towards the city of Nizwa, located about 1 hour and 50 minutes (155 km) by road from Muscat, and start your visit with a stroll through the various sections of the Souk, present in the city for hundreds of years. You can find a wonderful range of crafts, spices, dates, silverware, livestock, pottery, and more. Continue to Nizwa Fort, one of the main attractions of the city, built in the 17th century. This fortress is unique in its circular shape, has numerous corridors and compartments, and is distinguished by an impressive tower that overlooks the souk. After a lunch break at a local restaurant, continue your tour by exploring the village of Birkat Al Mauz, one of the most famous ruined villages in the Sultanate of Oman, with an immense banana plantation and a picturesque environment. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Nizwa.

Begin your day by exploring Jabreen Castle, built as both a defensive bastion and the Imam's residence, Jabreen Castle is certainly one of the most beautiful and picturesque forts in the Sultanate of Oman. Then head towards Bahla, the home of myths and legends that have endured through the centuries. Nationally recognized for its pottery, the city of Bahla is surrounded by a 12 km wall and is dominated by the largest fort in the country, built in the third millennium BC, and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. (Exterior visit). Later, have lunch at a local restaurant and continue your visit to the village of Al Hamra to discover this abandoned old village, over 400 years old, and its lush palm grove. You will have the opportunity to discover traditional Omani architecture, with its adobe houses and narrow alleys. Continue towards the village of Misfat Al Abriyeen. Located at an altitude of 900 meters, Misfat Al Abriyeen is a village nestled in the mountains. During a short walk, you will discover this picturesque village, known for its ancient stone houses and agricultural terraces. You will undoubtedly be charmed by the surrounding tranquility. Depart in the morning from Nizwa towards Wadi Bani Khalid (about 3 hours), one of the most popular and magnificent oases in Oman. Enjoy the turquoise and transparent waters of the natural pools, take a refreshing swim, and sunbathe. Lunch is either a picnic or at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, head to the Wahiba Sands Desert, an immense stretch of sand covering a vast area of 12,500 km². This ocean of ochre dunes will captivate you with its exceptional beauty. After checking in at the camp, drop off your luggage and head out with your experienced driver to discover the joys of dune crossing in a 4x4. The dunes of the famous Wahiba are ideal for this exciting and spectacular activity! You will stop at the top of a dune to watch the sunset and let yourself dream in front of a unique spectacle. Your day ends with dinner and a relaxing time at the camp. Dinner and overnight stay at a camp in Wahiba Sands.

After breakfast, leave the desert towards the city of Sur, built along the shores of the Gulf of Oman. Sur was a major trading port with East Africa until the early 20th century. Then, head towards Wadi Tiwi, one of the most beautiful valleys in Oman, with its blue-green pools surrounded by palm trees. Your day concludes with a well-deserved swim at Wadi Shab, one of the most stunning natural pools in the Sultanate. After a short boat crossing, you will reach the other side of the river, ready to embark on a 45-minute walk through a massive canyon gorge bordered by palm trees and steep paths.
